Hola! (11.14.11)

An amazing week! Today I hit 19 months in the mission! Thats pretty hard to believe! I know I always say it but I dont think I have enjoyed my mission as much as I am enjoying it now.

Basically two big highlights this week-

The first was that we had a mission conference. It was the first time in my mission that I was able to see the whole mission together at the same time. We all came together for a good reason too. An Apostle spoke to us- Elder Cook! Before they gave talks, Elder Cook greeted each missionary in the mission. His wife, President Humphrey and Sister Humphrey, Elder Richards (a seventy) and Sister Richards all greeted us too! They each gave amazing talks and Sister Cook was so colorful and happy! She had us all stand up and sing a hymn and she had us sing the hymn a little bit different to make it fun. Then, Elder Cook gave a talk on the mission work and gave us a lot of advice. He said so many inspired things and I knew that it was exactly what our mission needed to hear. At the end of his talk, he said something like this, ¨I give my apostolic witness that Jesus Christ lives. This is his church.¨ He said it in such a way that the Spirit flowed in and there was no room for doubt.

The second was that our investigator, Felipe, got baptized! The Bishop baptized him and Felipe was really, really happy. He is about 24 and he loves riding motorcycles. He has a strong testimony. His girlfriend and his baby came for all four hours on Sunday and she is getting interested in the Gospel now too! We have a Family Home Evening with all of them tonight!

I love yall! Chao!
