Hey (11.22.11)

Yesterday was an amazing day! Felipe got confirmed and recieved the Aaronic Priesthood at church as well. The Bishop here is amazing and he was just called to be Bishop a few weeks before I got here. He believes that we need to get the Priesthood to those men who are baptized the same day as the confirmation because they are the most worthy then. We were expecting almost ten at church but 6 of them came. We were still really happy about that. The investigators love church because all the members are so friendly and they stay for all three hours!

We are teaching a couple who are in their 40s and not married with a few children. They have gone to church a few times and have the desire to be baptized but they have to get married first! There are no problems with divorce papers so it should be pretty quick. We brought their neigbors, who are recent converts, to a lesson last night to teach the Word of Wisdom. Both families have a lot of little kids so my companion brought them over to the other side of the room and played with them while I taught the lesson and it went great. The neigbors were trying to make plans with them about their wedding party and basically positive peer pressuring them to keep the Word of Wisdom and get married! Members work magic!

So, one thing that has taken me 18 months of my mission to realize, is the importance of members in the mission work! I invite yall to help out the missionaries in your ward and pray for someone that they can share the Gospel with and then help them in their conversion.
