On Tuesday the assistants (who are both really good friends from my group in the MTC) came to do mini cambios with us and do a model district class. Elder Reed came with my companion and I and it was one of the most spiritual days of my life! He is so humble and we are really good friends so it is easy to be open and comfortable so we shared our thoughts about things and shared our testimonys and the end of the day as we read a few scriptures. So, after doing that mini cambio, we did two more with people in our zone. I went to a sector that was struggling and went with an honest, hard working missionary that lacks some teaching skills and struggles with the language a little bit too. But, I tried to do a mini cambio as Elder Reed did with us, and it was again, one of the most spiritual days of my life! I spoke to him of putting the trust in the Lord after we did planning that night. I set some spiritual goals with him and it was very edifying. They havent had anyone to church for 5 weeks, but they got someone to church yesterday with a baptismal date! I was really happy for them.
This next weekend we should have a few baptisms, but Ill let yall know if it happens!
I was sitting in sacrament meeting and the chapel was stuffed when we got there after picking up an investigator so I had to go split up and sit alone on a bench. A man came over a few minutes later with a goatee and in jeans. I had never seen him before so I didnt know if he was a member or not but I sort of tested it out but sharing my hymn book with him and seeing if he could sing a long. If he could, he was probably a member because the hymn was familiar to him. He sang the hymn really well so I figured he was a member that was less active but came to church. After sacrament meeting, I started talking with him and he told me that he came from Santiago where he was going to church and wanted a Book of Mormon. He now lives in our sector and he is not a member! He asked for a Book of Mormon because he wants to read it over the phone with his girlfriend thats a member that lives in Santiago! It was a miracle and we are going to teach him tomorrow!
I love yall!
