Hey! (12.12.11)

Katerin got baptized yesterday! She has gone to church 4 weeks in a row and it was so cool to see the steady spiritual progression. The recent convert that got baptized a month ago named Felipe, baptized her! We were really, really happy to see that. Jose, a 17 year old convert, was supossed to get baptized as well but he was at funerals all week and we couldnt ever find him! His boss died at the fire department where he works and also a friend from school, but we talked to him yesterday and he told us, ¨I am getting baptized no matter what this Sunday!¨

We had transfers in the mission but my companion and I are staying together as well as the other zone leaders that live with us. Our zone barely has any changes so we are fine with that because there are a lot of good missionaries here.

I did a baptismal interview this past week for a lady in her 50s that suffers of serious depression. She repeated to me that she takes 9 pills a day for her depression and it was seriously a rollercoaster in that interview. I tried to be completely positive in the interview and I also watched how I worded things because she is very sensitive. She passed the interview but it was a really hard one and I left exhausted and I went to bed about 30 minutes early that night! I say all that because I have been thinking a lot lately about how we offer peace, tranquility and a feeling of security in our contacts and in lessons when we speak of the blessings of listening and applying our message. I think a lot of people overlook that promise. Someone that lives the Gospel can only really testify of that peace and comfort.

This is a pretty short one this week but I love yall!
