Jose got baptized yesterday! I dont have the pictures with me but Ill send a ton next week. He is the 17 year old that we have been teaching that dropped smoking to get baptized! My companion baptized him and we were really excited for him. Katerin got confirmed yesterday as well.
We had a mission conference on Friday and it was really good. They showed a Christmas presentation with a lot of the baptisms of this past year. President Humphrey is a real business-type person but in his final words he showed a lot of love, which is something he doesnt do too much, when he thanked us for being his children for two years.
We, as missionaries of the whole city of Talca, have been practicing some hymns for a Christmas devotional for a few weeks. We sang yesterday in the devotional and it was pretty good. The young single adults planned it all out and it was amazing to invite in the Spirit of Christmas.
Yesterday during sacrament meeting, I went outside to talk to my companion in the hall as we waited for investigators. The ward secretary came out and told us that the two speakers after the one that was talking, didnt show up! So, he asked us if we could. We agreed to and so then I ran back in and pulled out my scriptures, trying to flip through and write down an outline in my planner for a talk in 2 minutes. In the end, I spoke for 15-20 minutes on retention. It was unnexpected, but I was grateful for the opportunity to speak!
I am really forward to talking to the family this Sunday! I love yall!
