Well, Floridor and Carla got baptized! It was an amazing service but it almost didnt happen! Ill tell y´all why...
An Elder named Elder Call came over to interview them both for baptism this past Friday. We told him that it would be an easy and smooth interview because they were so prepared, but it wasnt! They walked in, him and my companion, and Carla started crying saying that she didnt want to get baptized. Floridor said he did but he wouldnt do it without her because he wants his whole family in the Gospel. I got there a little after and Carla finally came out with her doubt that she felt pressured and that it all happend to quickly. Floridor started crying because he wanted her to get baptized so badly. We decided to have Elder Call interview Floridor anyway to see how he was in his preperation towards baptism. He left about 30 minutes later and said that he was going to get baptized this Sunday and was really happy! While he was in the interview, the Spirit whispered to me that we needed to get Carla into an interview with Elder Call. I told my companion that and he told me that he got the same feeling. Carla went in willingly to the interview and they left about 45 minutes later. Elder Call said that he had an announcement.... ¨they are both getting baptized this Sunday!¨ Floridor started crying again, but this time out of joy! We were all so happy! We were so thankful for Elder Call and that he followed the guidance of the Spirit because in that interview, he made here realize that she really was prepared to be baptized!
Sunday came around and the baptismal service was incredible. My companion baptized Floridor and I baptized Carla (Ill have pics next week!) Floridor is extrememly sensitive to the Spirit and when he left the water, his eyes were red and he felt the Spirit testify of the truth when he was baptized. Carla started to cry after the baptismal service out of joy and the whole ward was so happy and supportive.
Another family in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Now their two little sons will be raised in the Gospel and hopefully in about 15 years, will serve missions! Floridor and Carla will do great things in the church.
There are a few pictures of when we played ball with President, Zone Leaders, and assistants. There is one picture where President Humphrey totally fouls me on the arm! Haha!
I love y´all!
