Hey! (1.9.12)

This week went really well. We had a few investigators in church yesterday and the main matrimony that we have been working with is excited to get baptized next weekend. Unfortunately, I have been sick the past week because one of the nights I fell asleep on top of my bed, thinking about stuff, and I slept all night without sheets or blankets! Its really hot here but it still gets chilly at night.

Each morning, we have about 2 and a half hours to study the scriptures and Preach My Gospel. What I have been doing lately is studying by topic. I remember hearing a talk by the apostle Elder Bednar on ways of studying. He said that reading through lengthens your knowledge, like a surface area, and studying by topic deepens your knowledge. I guess you could say that I have been trying to ¨deepen¨ my knowledge. I have been studying the importance of covenants, and the principles of faith and repentance. It is incredible how when you understand a principle more completely, you can teach it more simply!

There really isnt too much to report on. The time is going by way too quickly but there is way too much more to do! What pumps me up every time I think about it, is this matrimony and their family. They have two young boys and I am so happy to know that they will be raised in the Gospel. I feel that this is the family that I was meant to come and baptize here in Chile!
