Things are a lot different! Elder DeMann, my new companion, is a lot more quiet than Elder Glass was but a really good missionary as well. He works hard and he has about 6 months left in the mission and is from Utah! This past week was honestly days of trying to re-adjust to a new companion. Elder Glass and I had a lot of unity in lessons and in everything so it felt like half of me left last Tuesday! I was able to see Elder Glass today in zone leader council and he told me that he felt the same! But, I have so much respect for my new companion, Elder DeMann. He hears a lot from the members about Elder Glass and how amazing he was so he is really patient and understanding. He will keep me working hard until the end of my mission and he really wants to continue with the success that we are having.
The investigators are doing great. They are progressing and we should have a few baptisms this month but towards the end of the month. I have a personal goal for before I go home and Im really driven to get it! Julio and Jacquelin, a couple that needs to get married, finally said that they are going to get married because they really want to get baptized. Felipe, a 13 year old son of a lady that is becoming reactivated, is doing well also and is progressing towards baptism. We found this one family that has been sealed in the temple but have been inactive for about 2 years and we are trying to get them all back to church. It just so happens that they have a 9 year old that needs to get baptized and the father is going to baptize him! So, we have tons of investigators still and we hope to continue with the success.
The mission is now going to focus a lot on internalizing the doctrine of the lessons that we teach. That is exactly what I was thinking with our zone so it was definentely revelation! What is happening is that we are inviting the investigators to prepare themselves to be baptized, but they arent accepting because we are not teaching simple enough. As missionaries, we have to teach the Gospel so that even a baby can understand it because the people we teach are babies in the Gospel.
The picture is of the four of us that lived together in the house before Elder Daines and Elder Glass hopped on the bus to go to their new sectors! I love y`all!
