Hola (2.6.11)

Hey everyone! Its been a really hot week! We have been teaching this one lady named Leontina. She has gone to church the past few weeks but she is depressive so we really have to be positive every time we are with her. She almost got baptized awhile back in the church but didnt because she got offended by someone in the church. She is a possibility for this month but we are going to have to be really patient. Felipe, the thirteen year old, is doing great and progressing. His Mom bore her testimony in sacrament meeting that she is so excited for her son to get baptized and how happy she will be to have priesthood in the house.

We had a little scare with Felipe this past week though. After we taught him a lesson, his mom said that she wanted to speak to us alone after the lesson. Felipe and the members that came with us left the house and she pulled out 5 pages with typed writing on them. She tells us that it is anti-mormon doctrine and that she has been trying to find answers for everything in the scriptures but she needed our help because those papers were meant for Felipe (from his Dad) but she got ahold of it before Felipe did. We took it from her and got rid of it. We talked about it and decided that his Dad is going to find whatever way to get Felipe to read it so he needs a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. We have been reading with him and we made it clear to him that Heavenly Father never works in darkness and anti mormon doctrine is darkness. He has no need to work in ways so low as that. So, we have been praying a whole lot for Felipe and tons of missionaries have been doing the same.

Im loving the time that I have left! Like I said last email, my companion is a lot quieter but I am able to focus a lot easier on what I need to do to finish the mission strong!
